September 8, 2022 (11 a.m. - 12 p.m. MST) In the first webinar session of this 4-part series, we’ll focus on the early stages of clean energy project concept development through to the stage where you’re ready to perform detailed economic analysis. Learn how companies, through pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, assess the variety of technical options, develop a conceptual plan, and prepare a levelized cost of energy to support in detailed economic evaluation. We will also talk through the significant benefits these clean energy projects bring communities like yours and their positive impact on the long-term growth.

Part 2: Show me the money! Let’s talk project economics and funding options.

September 29, 2022 (11 a.m. - 12 p.m. MST) Let’s talk through one of the most critical aspects of developing your clean energy project: the detailed economic analysis and securing development funding. In this session we will discuss some of the regulatory hurdles that utilities may encounter when entering into power purchase agreements, the realistic expectations of rates in various jurisdictions, your project viability from an economic perspective, and how to apply for funding to take your project to the next stage. And finally, we’ll discuss some of the funding opportunities, where to find support and how we can help your community on this journey.

Part 3: Breaking Ground: Engineering, Procurement, and Construction

October 20, 2022 (11 a.m. - 12 p.m. MST) Get your boots dirty in the third session of this series as we focus on the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of your project. Whether you are looking to use an in-house engineer or hire externally to manage the design of your project, this session will talk you through the assurance of success for your clean energy project. Procuring materials? Supply chain issues? We’ll also explore how to differentiate long lead items from materials that are readily available, so you don’t start construction while waiting on critical items to arrive. Additionally, we’ll highlight the importance of how your project can also support local businesses and community growth while ensuring your project is completed safely, on-schedule, on-budget, and with a high degree of quality.

Part 4: Keeping the lights on… everything you need to know about O&M

November 24, 2022 (11 a.m. - 12 p.m. MST) In the fourth and final webinar in our series, you will learn the ins and outs of how to properly manage the ongoing operation and maintenance (O&M) of your clean energy project. We’ll walk you through the steps you’ll need to take to help organize the manufacturer’s maintenance requirements, as well as the creation of a successful maintenance plan to ensure the safe and efficient operation of your facility. We’ll also help you understand typical responsibilities you or the Utility might be accountable for as explained in your energy purchase agreement, as well as the long-term economic benefits for your community.
